Founded by Stephen Burns, Chairman Distillery is a family-owned and operated farm distillery. It is an outpouring of his passion for the art of distilling, his Irish and Scottish roots, and the hospitality of his Pennsylvania estate.

The Chairman is not a founder, a face, or a title reserved for one person. The Chairman is a standard of character. It is quiet confidence. Good judgment. The ability to stand apart without needing to stand above. It is knowing what is worth your time, and what is not. Our whiskey is made in that spirit- inspired by the traditions our ancestors refined across Ireland, Scotland, England, and Europe, and carried forward here in Pennsylvania with patience, discipline, and respect. To be the Chairman is simply to know your own standard- and to choose accordingly.
